We Love Birds

BTO

We Love Birds, a 2D campaign for the British Trust for Ornithology. Civic work has to reach an audience that already knows the subject deeply and an audience that has never once thought about it, at the same time, without patronising either of them.

That is a tone problem more than a design one.

A crowd of all ages gathers under an oak hung with birdhouses, an owl and a dozen birds in its branches.
A family around a workbench under a tree, building a birdhouse with hammer, nails and red paint.
Four raised hands hold timber, a nail, a hammer and a paintbrush, a blue tit flying to the brush.
